The Virginia Dept of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is seeking a System Analyst to serve at the Richmond Office. This position is hybrid and will require 2-3 days on site. This position is for a Systems Analyst with expertise in healthcare claims processing and requires an in-depth knowledge of the data related to all functional areas of the MMIS or a similar large scale claims system.
Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate must be able to work with minimum supervision and can successfully interact with multiple technical and user groups.
- Candidate will support ongoing Releases, Enhancements and Production defect fixes.
- Proficiency is needed in coordination, direction and procedures for all testing phases of a multi-vendor, large scale software system.
- Responsible for all System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End2End Testing (E2E) for the MMIS and MES modules as well as the testing of configured Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) applications, and the conversion and integration of data from other systems in Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES Modules and COTS products).
- Expectation to have the ability to understand the requirements and design of the project and able to develop test cases, test data and verify the software changes and to problem solve issues that are escalated and serve as liaison between the developer and the Business User.
- Responsible for communicating and reporting to a variety of stakeholders about the results and progress of all UAT Testing including Test Summary and Execution metrics.
- Escalating and tracking UAT defects through the resolution.
- Track and maintain historical UAT Testing information.
- Able to meet deadlines with a high level of integrity, professionalism, customer service and motivation.
Required skills and experience
- Experience in SIT and UAT test scenario and Test Case development
- Experience in Test data preparation and Test Execution
- Strong Experience with Teradata and SQL queries
- Experience in test result validation
- Experience with accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data during the Test Execution
- Experience in defect tracking
- Experience with metrics reporting
- Effective Communication and Collaboration
- Familiarity with claims processing software
- Testing experience on Mainframe Systems
