Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an Electronic Health Records/Health IT Account System Administrator to serve their Richmond VA office. This position is hybrid and will require four days on site and one teleworking day. Must have excellent organization and planning skills, and an understanding of the utilization of technology in the business processes for the Electronic Health Records (EHR) program. The ideal candidate will have experience in a recognized Electronic Health Record System.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and quantify IT risk factors for EHR application security and related infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Permission, PC refresh and software installations, inventory and software management utilizing Asset Panda, manage user accounts, receive and transfer inventory to maintain accurate records.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written forms is essential.
  • Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshooting issues.
  • Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Configure/add new services as necessary. Upgrade and configure system software that supports GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications for project or operational needs.
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

 

Required skills and experience

  • Working knowledge and experience with Keystone Edge, Microsoft OS, MS Office, DocuSign, Panda, VITA Remote tools, DEXIS, Adobe, Teams/SharePoint, VPN
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  • Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
  • Experience in a recognized Electronic Health Record System (EHR) (Highly desired)
