Job Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate any host nation (HN) requests for maintenance-related Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE) with relevant stakeholders and shepherd these requests through successful execution in concert with Strategy and Plans/relevant Country Desk Officers.
  • Responsible for the physical plant and daily operations of a two-star headquarters facility including 4 buildings, 7 temporary office facilities, and the grounds they occupy.
  • Perform Minor Property Custodian duties for the command.
  • Track projects and facility issues.
  • Work on projects involving Naval Logistics.
  • Communicate projects and facilities issues to various entities to ensure maintenance/repair jobs are received, tracked, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with activities such as responding to building issues, escorting vendors and inspectors (e.g., fire, base, safety, other), moving furniture and equipment, event setups/teardowns, minor workstation modifications, and driving government vehicles as needed. This will include being informed of all maintenance actions that will take place on campus and overseeing their proper completion.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of contemporary administration, policies, procedures, standards, objectives, and resourcing requirements.
  • A strong Ship’s Maintenance and Material Management (3M) background is required. Prior experience as a ship’s maintenance manager (Ship’s Maintenance Officer, 3MC, CSMM).
  • Extensive knowledge of naval operations, maintenance and logistics practices as well as familiarity with coordination of large-scale military operations.
  • Significant experience working with Husbanding Service Providers; specific experience working with HSP assigned under the Global Multiple Award Contract (MAC).
  • Experience in AOR transportation management, unit-level maintenance and repair procedures, safeguarding of classified materials and reports, and preparation of military and civilian shipping documents to include HAZDEC certification procedures for sensitive cargoes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is sufficient to develop reports and correspondence and create presentations is required.
  • Exposure to military or civilian executive level staff/office experience.
  • SECRET security clearance.
