YSI is seeking a PowerBuilder/.Net Developer to serve as backup support on the Banking application. The individual in this position will assist with translating formal requirements documentation into database and program solutions.
Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and as a team. The ability to adapt to change and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers is essential. Comply with all system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews. Fully document work performed and provided technology turnover on all work performed to other SCC staff.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performs complex system administration, maintenance and support for production systems.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation.
- The individual will be primarily supporting the FIIS application which is written in PowerBuilder. They also will provide support to other applications that are written on .Net.
- Performing system administration, maintenance, and support
- Responding to system alerts and user events; making recommendations; and documenting findings.
- Designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and implementing programs and systems
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and technical documentation
- Performing related work as required
- Responsible for maintaining databases, tracking logs, and project deliverable files; generating and/or posting recurring/ad-hoc status reports and providing responses and data to project inquiries from management and staff.
- Assists and works closely with the Information Management and PMO teams, DMAS SME community, along with the MES vendors.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of application development and maintenance experience using Visual Studio, ASP.NET, MVC, Web Forms/Blazor, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications using PowerBuilder and/or InfoMaker.
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases, including application integration, troubleshooting, and data-related support.
- 1+ year of Web API development/maintenance experience using C#, Entity Framework (EF), and LINQ, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, Visio, and SharePoint, with excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively within a team.
Location: 1300 E Main Street Richmond, VA (Hybrid- three days onsite)
Salary: $125,000-130,000 annually with benefits
